Embraces, hugs; there's nothing like them.
My family wasn't much on hugging until the grandbabies came and Auntie started hugging and kissing all the children. Now I tell them that the day they become too old to hug and kiss is the day I write them out of my will. :)
Psychologically speaking, hugs and touch make for a healthy psyche. I miss it. Part of the darkness I deal with comes from having to go for days, even weeks, without the physical touch of another human being. In touch there is connection. In heartfelt embraces, there is healing.
