Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Trust fall.
In God we trust.
Trust issues.
Show me a woman who doesn't have some sort of trust issues, and I'll show
you someone who's lived in a fish bowl.
I 've had trust issues since childhood and still have a few now. The issue for me is always the same, Will they keep their word? Will I make it? Will there be someone to take care of me when I'm done taking care of everyone else. Unfortunately, the answer is usually no.
Betrayal of trust is one of the most devastating forms of emotional abuse there is. I shutter to think at how I may have done that to someone.
I have levels of trust that I offer to my friends. As they say, trust is earned. If they can be trusted with a small piece of my heart, then I trust them with more. If I see that I'm going to be berated, I take back any trust offered and keep it to myself.
I want to be trustworthy. I want to have people around who I can trust.
STOP!
You and I were on the same wave length today. It's true, just about everyone has trust issues. I think we all want to be trustworthy, but ultimately we trust a God who is every trusting. Visiting you from FMF!
