It's Fall, Y'all: The Weekly Hodgepodge

Want to join the party?  Go on over to From This Side of the Pond  for the Hodgepodge link-up!

It's fall. y'all. My favorite season of the year! What's something you love to do this time of year that makes you feel it's officially fall? And unrelated to that, do you ever say-y'all?
I'm a good Southern girl, I better say y'all.  Celebrating college football season lets me know Autumn is here.  ROLL TIDE!
When did you last have a falling out with someone? Has it been resolved?
A couple of weeks ago, and yes, it's been resolved.
A song you love with the word 'fall' in it's title?

 We Fall Down

What's something you've recently let 'fall by the wayside?'
Because of financial constraints, many of my activities in JackVegas have been dropped or are in the process of being dropped.  Hopefully at the beginning of the year, I'll be able to get back to it.
When did you last attend an event, read a book, watch a movie, try a new recipe, or visit a shop-town-tourist attraction that fell short of your expectations? In what way?
I just read the book The Diva Principle by Michelle McKinney Hammond.  It was a real letdown.  The review is here.
Describe a time you said or thought, 'The apple doesn't fall far from the tree."
When I see my friend Mikki's daughter, Alexis, that phrase fits them perfectly.
Was today better than yesterday? Why or why not?
Yes, I've had a horrible weekend and the start of the week was very difficult, but today was better.
Insert your own random thought here.
Some of you were wondering about my craft projects from last week.  This square (pic below) was a combination of two different patterns.  The rose is not glued to the square, they are crocheted into one continuous piece.

I was also asked to crochet one of the weirdest projects I've ever made.

These are Cat Butt Coasters.  Kitty's tail is at the top.  His legs are at the bottom.  And of course his little pink bottom is in the middle.  My friend, Heather, asked me to make these.  I'm still shaking my head.

Finished this lovely green hat today.  I think I'm going to try to make a removable accessory for this one.

  1. Love the hat!!! I'm trying to get back into crochet because I want to make a little Viking hat for a baby. I have the pattern, it's just a matter of recognizing where and when to turn or join. I think you need to be here to show me. Lol

  2. You are so talented...wish I could say the same for myself. As much as I'd love it, I'm just not the crafty kind. Love your song choice...definitely a favorite of mine!
